Actions &
Performances

In this section of the site are presented actions, performances, and body practices by Maria Kulikovska, most of which are based on interaction with her sculptural objects, as well as on the artist's observations of their transformations, fragility, and time, on her own acceleration of their destruction. A huge part of directing performances and actions in public space is the architectural analysis of the environment, the study of its history and context by the artist herself, and then – rethinking all this through the appearance of the artist's body or her performative sculptures in this space.

Maria Kulikovska's actions carry a sharp political critique of borders and boundaries, they have become a kind of self-reflection and psychological self-analysis of the artist. Using her own body and its opportunities in the actions and performances, Maria discusses marginalized and acute social issues of society.
